Case Western Reserve University is up for its decennial accreditation, which will include a site visit April 13-14 by the members of Higher Learning Commission.
An important part of the requirements for accreditation is that courses and programs of study have specified learning outcomes and assessments in place. Last year around this time, Susan Perry, university director of outcome assessment, presented on the state of learning outcomes assessment at the university and what still needed to be accomplished before the accreditation site visit.
At the next UCITE session, Perry will provide an update on the progress made in the state of assessment, provide examples of the types of evidence collected and shared to demonstrate this progress, and describe where the university is in the accreditation process. A discussion of where to go from there will follow.
The UCITE session is Thursday, Feb. 5, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Herrick Room, on the ground floor of the Allen Memorial Medical Library.
