Overnight, Information Technology Services (ITS) upgraded Case Western Reserve’s telephone and voicemail systems. When you access your voice mailbox for the first time today, you will be prompted to set a new PIN and to record a personal greeting. Instructions regarding this process, as well as helpful guides for using your new voice mailbox, are available by visiting case.edu/its/uc.
If you encounter any problems accessing or using your voice mailbox, email help@case.edu.
Yesterday’s upgrade represents the first phase of a larger initiative called Unified Communications. This multiphase project will improve how we communicate at Case Western Reserve. Advancements coming in the year ahead include:
- Better processes for ordering telephone services;
- More options for handsets, including cordless, software-based phones and integration with mobile devices; and
- Advanced collaboration tools, including a campus license for WebEx and video conferencing software for mobile devices, laptops and desktop computers.
Continue watching The Daily, the Unified Communications website, and the ITS Facebook and Twitter accounts for the latest information about these changes.
