Telephone, voicemail systems to be upgraded this evening

At 10 p.m. tonight, Information Technology Services (ITS) will upgrade the university’s telephone and voicemail systems. The upgrade is necessary to ensure service reliability and will conclude by the start of the business day on Thursday, Jan. 8.

Impact to telephone service

From 10 p.m. tonight until 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, campus telephone service may be inconsistent. Calls placed to CWRU Police and Security Services (216.368.3333) will continue to connect normally. Safe Ride users should use the online interface or mobile app to schedule a pickup if they are unable to connect to the Safe Ride hotline. More information about scheduling a Safe Ride pickup is available at police.case.edu/saferide.html.

Impact to voicemail

Personal greetings, passcodes and stored voicemail messages are affected by this upgrade; therefore voicemail users will need to take action. For complete details and links to helpful resources, visit case.edu/its/uc/about.html. (Sign in with your CWRU network ID and password, if prompted.)

Assistance is available anytime by contacting the ITS Service Desk at 216.368.HELP (4357) or help@case.edu. To learn more about the impact of the upgrade, review answers to frequently asked questions at case.edu/its/uc/faq.html.
