Benelect Open Enrollment for 2015 runs Nov. 3-30. Benelect enrollment kits were distributed via campus mail at the end of October. The packets contain the 2015 Benelect guide, a summary of changes for 2015, the new premium rate sheets, and instructions for making elections in the online enrollment system. The same materials are also available on the 2015 Open Enrollment web page under “Rates and Other Information.”
Don’t forget to complete online enrollment by Nov. 30.
To assist faculty and staff with selecting health insurance coverage for 2015, Decision Support Statements have been sent to employees’ homes and should arrive within the first week of November. These individualized statements compare the total estimated costs for health insurance coverage across all available options.

The maximum allowable contribution to a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for 2015 has been increased to $2,550. This change was announced by the IRS on Oct. 30, so printed materials prepared by Benefits Administration for 2015 Open Enrollment list the maximum allowable 2015 FSA contribution as $2,500. Employees wishing to contribute the new maximum amount of $2,550 for 2015 will be able make that selection during open enrollment.
