Maxwell Mehlman, the Arthur E. Petersilge Professor of Law, professor of bioethics and director of the Law-Medicine Center, wrote three works that recently were published.
“Super Soldiers (Part 1): What is Military Enhancement?” and “Super Soldiers (Part 2): The Ethical, Legal, and Operational Implications” both appeared in Global Issues and Ethical Considerations in Human Enhancement Technologies. The reference book, published in April, compiled research and provides a composite of the field’s role in emerging technologies.
In addition, his article, “Ethical, Legal, Social, and Policy Issues in the Use of Genomic Technology by the U.S. Military,” was published online in the Journal of Law and the Biosciences. His co-author is Cowan Fellow Tracy Yeheng Li.
