Learn about careers in government relations from founder of advocacy, lobbying firm

Lee Weingart headshotThe campus community is invited to learn about careers in government relations with Lee Weingart, founder of the LNE Group, a government advocacy, funding and procurement firm.

The presentation, sponsored by the Department of Political Science, will begin at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, in Mather House, room 100.

The LNE Group specializes in strategic advocacy and lobbying solutions for clients that include Fortune 500 corporations, regional companies, startup enterprises, local governments, nonprofit organizations, trade associations and other interest groups. Headquartered in Cleveland, LNE is one of the top advocacy and lobbying firms in Ohio, with other offices in Columbus, Cincinnati, Washington, D.C., and Berlin.

A graduate of DePauw University and The George Washington University National Law Center, Weingart served from 1995 to 1997 as one of three Cuyahoga County commissioners. He has been active in campaigns for many candidates for office, including President George W. Bush, Gov. Bob Taft, and Senators Mike DeWine and George Voinovich.
