The Farm Food Program at the Case Western Reserve University Farm is accepting shareholders for the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. In a CSA, community members purchase shares in a farm and, in turn, receive farm-fresh produce.
This fall, the farm will offer a six-week, “mini” CSA program running Sept. 24-Oct. 29.
The total six-week price is $200 ($30 of produce per week), which includes the cost of reusable bags that shareholders keep at the end of the sales period.
Bag pickups will be on Wednesdays 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Biomedical Research Building Lobby, or Fridays, from noon to 7 p.m. at the university farm in the main barn.
Unclaimed bags will be forfeited for the week, but friends can make pick ups if needed.
To sign up and select a pickup time and location, call the university farm office at 216.368.0274. The deadline to sign up is Sept. 15.
