School of Medicine’s Harneet Walia discusses recent study on sleep apnea and blood pressure

MSN.com: Cleveland Clinic researchers, led by Harneet Walia, assistant professor of family medicine, found a significant correlation between severe sleep apnea and drug-resistant high blood pressure. The study couldn’t prove cause-and-effect, but the findings “suggest that severe obstructive sleep apnea contributes to poor blood pressure control despite aggressive medication use,” Walia said in a journal news release.
