In spring 2014, the Faculty Climate Survey was administered to faculty members at the rank of instructor and above. The survey questions covered a range of topics, including the quality of faculty life, satisfaction, workload, sources of stress, work environment, leadership, mentoring, promotion and tenure, and retention.
The Office of Institutional Research analyzed the survey data and is preparing reports that answer such questions as: How satisfied are our faculty members with their lives here? What are our strengths? What are areas of concern? Compared to a past survey from 2010, are things improving or deteriorating? How do we compare with our peer institutions?
At the next University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education (UCITE) session, Jean Gubbins, Amanda Thomas and Joshua Terchek, from the Office of Institutional Research will share the results and answer any questions.
Join UCITE for this discussion Thursday, July 17, from noon to 1 p.m., in the Herrick Room, which is on the ground floor of the Allen Building (at the corner of Adelbert Road and Euclid Avenue).
Pizza lunch and sodas will be provided at this session. RSVP by emailing ucite@case.edu.
