The Department of Theater will present Measure for Measure by William Shakespeare April 11, 12, 18 and 19 at 8 p.m., and April 13 and 20 at 2:30 p.m. at Eldred Theater.
Written in the early 1600s, with the upheaval of a new ruler on the throne, Measure for Measure is considered one of the Bard’s “problem plays.” It defies simple classification, as the play explores whether ideas such as right or wrong, and good or bad, are really that easy to distinguish from one another.
Jerrold Scott, professor and artistic director in the Department of Theater, will direct the show.
