Wojbor A. Woyczynski, professor of statistics and director of the Center for Stochastic and Chaotic Processes, was awarded with medals commemorating the 65th anniversary of the Wroclaw University of Technology and the 100th anniversary of all the technical universities in Wroclaw, Poland. He received the medals for his didactic, editorial and research service to the international mathematical community. Woyczynski earned his bachelors and masters degrees from Wroclaw University Technology in electrical and computer engineering in 1966 and his PhD in mathematics from University of Wroclaw in 1968.
