Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics to offer new BS/MS degree

The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics is introducing a new Modern Biostatistics Bachelor of Science/Master of Science program for undergraduate students in STEM fields seeking master’s-level training in biostatistics. This five-year integrated BS/MS program will provide students with rigorous and essential quantitative skills needed to meet the challenges provided by big data.

The two-year program can be completed in nine fewer credit hours than if the student completed the BS and MS degrees consecutively. Students wishing to complete a thesis have ample opportunities to conduct research in specialized areas of expertise.

Applications for the program are due March 1.
