The Case Western Reserve University Law chapter of the American Constitution Society will host a luncheon discussion titled “Religion and the Constitution in Modern Life,” on Monday, Jan. 27, at noon at the School of Law, Room A58.
Topics discussed at the meeting will include current Supreme Court cases concerning religion, such as the legislative prayer case, the contraceptive mandate (Affordable Care Act) case and more.
Speakers will be from a variety of areas across campus and Cleveland, including the law school, the physics department and the ACLU. The guest of honor will be Supreme Court plaintiff Susan Galloway of the case Town of Greece v. Galloway.
The event is co-sponsored by the Black Law Students Association and the Jewish Law Students Association.
