Plain Dealer: A chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) has been started at Case Western Reserve University. The university has historic ties with the organization: Charles Thwing, who was president of Western Reserve University from 1890 to 1921, was one of the original signers of the NAACP in 1909.
