The Office of Planning and Institutional Research has released 13 new reports about the first-year experience at Case Western Reserve University. One report provides information about first-year student satisfaction. Results indicate that:
- 82 percent of 2012-13 first-year students were satisfied with their overall academic experience;
- 82 percent said they would choose to enroll at Case Western Reserve if they could make their college choice over again;
- 80 percent were satisfied with the overall quality of instruction; and
- 76 percent were satisfied with their overall college experience.
The survey also asked about students’ satisfaction with coursework, academic support, courses, services and community. For example, most 2012-13 first-year students were satisfied with the following:
- Respect for the expression of diverse beliefs (82 percent);
- Library facilities (79 percent);
- Interactions with other students (75 percent);
- Availability of campus social activities (74 percent);
- Orientation for new students (73 percent);
- Opportunities for community service (72 percent); and
- Classroom facilities (71 percent).
