Apple has released its latest operating system, OS X 10.9 Mavericks, as a free upgrade on its App Store. If members of the campus community choose to upgrade their Macs, be aware that the VPN client the university uses to connect to the campus network from off-campus, Cisco AnyConnect, is not yet compatible with Mavericks.
If anyone has upgraded to Mavericks and needs to connect to the campus network through VPN, the VPN client that is built in to Mavericks can be used instead. Directions are available and assistance can be provided by the ITS Service Desk by emailing help@case.edu or calling 216.368.HELP (4357).
Once AnyConnect is updated by Cisco and verified by ITS staff, the version will be made available to the campus at vpnsetup.case.edu and softwarecenter.case.edu.
