The CWRU bocce league—open to all faculty, staff and students—is back for its second season. Gather friends and co-workers into teams of two or more people and have fun while meeting new people. Players at any level—even those new to the game—are welcome.
League games are the last three Tuesdays and Wednesdays of June (choose one night) and playoffs are in July. Teams will face off for an hour at 5:15 or 6:15 p.m., according to availability. All games will take place on grass, near the Jolly Scholar. The league costs $12 per team and covers the whole season.
No team? No problem! Commissioners Mike Suglio or Matt Lake will put you onto a team you can’t refuse. A minimum of two team members must be present to play.
Exhibition games and lessons will be held Wednesday, June 5, from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m. outside of the Jolly Scholar.
The league was founded by Newman Catholic Campus Ministry and co-sponsored by CWRU Intramurals and the Jolly Scholar, which offers “Jolly Prizes” each week, and discounts on food and drink for all players on nights of play.
Scores will be posted on the intramural sports website, with special winners each week like “Most favuloso play,” “La serenissima” or “I piu creativi!”

There is a limit to the number of teams, so don’t hesitate to sign up online at www.imleagues.com.
