Is Taiwan the next pressure point for armed conflict on the global stage?

Hostetler – BakerHostetler Professor of Law, and Avidan Cover, director of the Institute for Global Security Law and Policy at the Frederick K. Cox International Law Center, discussed China’s claims over Taiwan, the potential for military conflict in the Pacific and its global repercussions. As part of a panel, they also examined how such aggression could disrupt economic markets, involve U.S., Japanese, and Taiwanese forces, and escalate into a major geopolitical crisis.
