Advance care planning helps you think about, discuss and document your healthcare preferences for when you can’t speak for yourself. Few people have discussed their advance directives with their loved ones or have communicated their wishes to their medical provider.
Members of the Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland communities are invited to join the Department of Bioethics and MetroHealth’s Center for Biomedical Ethics for an advance care planning workshop Saturday, Dec. 14, from noon to 1 p.m. at the CWRU Wade Park Community Engagement Center.
The event will feature an educational discussion on starting conversations about your desired medical care and preferences and the various Ohio advance directives that you can complete. Assistance with completing and submitting advance care planning documents to your medical record will be provided.
This event is free.
