Final reminder: 2025 benelect open enrollment ends Nov. 27

The Department of Human Resources is reminding faculty and staff that the 2025 benelect open enrollment period ends Nov. 27. During open enrollment, you can make changes for the 2025 calendar year. Visit the Annual Benefits Events website for more information.

Adding new dependents

If you will be adding dependents to your benefits for 2025, you must first provide appropriate dependent verification to Benefits Administration so they can add your dependents to HCM. Then this will allow you to select those dependents when using the open enrollment system. You will be unable to add new dependents to your benefits until you submit the required dependent verification. 

View a list of acceptable dependent verification documents. Include the dependent’s date of birth and social security number with your submission. As a reminder, documentation containing social security numbers or other sensitive data should never be sent via email. Documents should be submitted to the HR Service Center located in Room 320 of Crawford Hall or via the Ask HR Box.

Dependents already included in your 2024 benefits plan are listed in HCM and will be available when you use the open enrollment system. No additional dependent verification is needed.

Beneficiaries

This is also a good time to review your existing beneficiaries on the life insurance plan. You can access the form at Beneficiary Designation Form. Submit the completed form to the HR Service Center via Ask HR Box.
