Are you interested in bioethics and medical humanities? Are you on track to earn your bachelor’s degree? Case Western Reserve University’s combined bachelor’s/master’s program (formerly IGS) program allows you to simultaneously complete a Master of Arts in Bioethics and Medical Humanities degree during your senior year. Undergraduate students are invited to an in-person open house for the program Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 4 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Senior Classroom A.
This two-semester program is ideal for those who plan to work in healthcare, health policy, law, research, humanities, or academia. It also is an opportunity for pre-health students to strengthen their medical school, physician assistant, anesthesia, or clinical psychology applications while also enriching their healthcare training with a grounding in critical ethical issues and perspectives.
Pre-law students who hope to better understand the connection between ethics, humanities and law as a way to enhance their law school applications can benefit from this program. For undecided students who are searching for the next steps in their career paths, bioethics and medical humanities offers interprofessional and interdisciplinary education.
Those who can’t make it to the open house but who would like to learn more can set up a one-on-one appointment with Leah Jeunnette, the program director, to discuss your interest.
