Mark your calendars for National Distance Learning Week

To raise awareness of distance learning and honor outstanding leaders and best practices in the field, the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) established National Distance Learning Week (NDLW). Join us in celebrating from Nov. 4-8.

To mark NDLW, we’re offering a range of activities, both online and on campus:

  • Free Instructional Design Consultation: Are you interested in or already teaching an online or a hybrid course? Schedule a free consultation with an instructional designer to talk about your individual course. We can help you think through strategies for engaging your students, refashioning your assignments for a digital environment, and aligning your course with best practices for online courses.
  • Free Quality Review of Your Online/Hybrid Course: Want feedback on your online or hybrid course? Instructional designers are also available to complete a free quality review on your online or hybrid course using the I Can Design for Online resource, which is a set of guidelines for high-quality online courses derived from nationally recognized rubrics such as the Quality Matters Rubric. Sign up for a quality review
  • Campus Pop-Up Table: We’ll be setting up a table around campus during the week to raise awareness about distance learning. Stop by, say hello, participate in our fun poll, and grab some Halloween candy!
