Ohio Issue 1: Can police, veterans serve on proposed redistricting commission?

Chisholm Distinguished Research Scholar and professor of law, said Ohio Issue 1’s impact on police, firefighters and military members joining the redistricting commission is uncertain. He noted a “conflict of interest” might apply in some cases, but not all. “The Ohio Supreme Court is ultimately going to decide this,” Ellis said.
