“Slow Matters: Intersecting Food and Fields” exhibit opening

Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to join Kelvin Smith Library for a talk, exhibit and refreshments at the first in a series of events called Slow Matters Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship Collaboration Commons

This talk will feature Mary Holmes, chapter leader of Slow Food Cleveland and lecturer at CWRU, with opening remarks from Hope Barkoukis, chair of the School of Medicine’s Department of Nutrition. 

The event also will celebrate the opening for the library’s exhibit “Slow Matters: Intersecting Food and Fields.” Curated by the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, this exhibit showcases slow food activities at CWRU and the many connected fields and academic disciplines.
