The Department of Music will host an evening celebrating the beauty and serenity of nature with the Case/University Circle Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Kathleen Horvath, and the Case Concert Choir, led by Christopher Clark. Titled “Mother Earth,” the concert will be held Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Maltz Performing Arts Center’s Silver Hall.
The program will inclure:
- Seth Gratz, harp: “Vistas in Motion”
- Giovanni Santos: “The Farmer and His Daughter”
- Anatoly Liadov: “The Enchanted Lake”
- Gwyneth Walker: “The Great Lakes”
The works will be performed by:
- Case/University Circle Symphony Orchestra (Kathleen Horvath, director of orchestras)
- Case Concert Choir (Christopher Clark, director of choirs)
- Greg Banaszak, saxophone
- Val Sibila, soprano
- Denise Howell, alto
- Peter Wright, tenor
- Dominic Aragon, baritone
