“A World of Parasites and Their Significant Impact on Human Health”

Emmitt Jolly, professor of biology at Case Western Reserve University, will share his expertise in the world of parasites during a talk today (Oct. 7) from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Thwing Center, Room 201.

There are more parasites than any other organism on earth. Jolly’s presentation will explore the roles of parasites on human life and on their animals, and explore complex parasitic lifestyles.

First Year Experience invites students to delve into the biology of several parasitic organisms with a focus on Chagas disease. Attendees will learn about the complexity of these seemingly simple organisms, their intertwined impact on human history, and probable role in the future.
