Case Western Reserve University is grateful for the dedication, resilience and innovation of our postdoctoral scholars and fellows. National Postdoc Appreciation Week is Sept. 16–20. Members of the university community are invited to help the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs recognize, support and celebrate postdoctoral researchers on campus.
Postdocs can stop by the School of Graduate Studies (Tomlinson Hall, Room 203) anytime throughout the week from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to grab a free CWRU water bottle.
All postdocs will receive one entry ticket to win a raffle prize.
Postdocs also are encouraged to participate in several events planned for them next week.
Monday, Sept. 16
- 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in Tomlinson Hall: Doughnuts/coffee/cookies (sponsored by Proteintech)
- 11 a.m. (location to be determined): National Postdoc Appreciation Week lunch for School of Medicine postdocs
Tuesday, Sept. 17
- Noon to 1 p.m. (location to be determined): Meet Deputy Provost Lee Thompson and lunch sponsored by the Office of the Provost
Wednesday, Sept. 18
- 6 p.m.: Dinner at the Jolly Scholar
Thursday, Sept. 19
- 12:30 p.m. beginning outside of Tomlinson hall: Campus history tour with Janice Gerda
Friday, Sept. 20
- 1 p.m.: “Best Practices for Mentors and Mentees” webinar
- 2 to 6 p.m.: Hike in Rocky River
