Weatherhead’s Tom King writes about estimating equity in private companies

Tom King, retiring chairman of the Department of Accountancy at Weatherhead School of Management, recently published a paper in Strategic Finance, a top field journal in the area of financial management. His paper was titled “Estimating the Cost of Equity of Private Companies.”

An alumnus of Harvard University and Case Western Reserve, King has developed a reputation for succinct and useful research as applied in C-suite business settings and in academic circles. His books and papers have drawn media attention and foretell an active post retirement period.
