Shanina Knighton, associate professor at Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, shared insights on the importance of educating patients about hand hygiene in a recently published article.
Her article, titled “Infection Prevention,” was published by Healthcare Hygiene Magazine.
Knighton explored the role patients play in the spread of healthcare-associated infections and how hand hygiene is a quality improvement approach that can be taken to minimize the risk of spreading such infections.
