Case Western Reserve University School of Law will host Rob Verchick, a best-selling author and climate law expert, for a talk titled “The Octopus in the Parking Garage: A Call for Climate Resilience” Thursday, Feb. 15, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Moot Courtroom (Room A59).
Verchick will weigh in on “climate resilience”—which involves managing carbon pollution risks we can’t avoid—in our homes, in our towns and cities, and in our legal system.
Whether paddling through Louisiana’s bayous, hiking among Joshua trees in the Mojave Desert or diving off Key Largo with citizen-scientists working to restore coral reefs, Verchick explores the range of problems we face and the many creative solutions that we can embrace and deploy.
