Nearly 27,000 Ohioans purged from voting rolls: Here’s how to see if your name was included
WKYC: Atiba Ellis, the Laura B. Chisholm Distinguished Research Scholar and professor of law, discussed the reasons behind the recent purge of 27,000 voters from the state’s voting rolls. “These (purges) are done to remove from the rolls the names of voters who are likely inactive and likely not in the jurisdiction to vote,” Ellis said. “That can include people who have passed away, people who are no longer in the jurisdiction, people who are no longer eligible to vote.”
