Two judges ask Leslie Celebrezze to resign as top judge amid lawsuit controversy and FBI questioning
Cleveland Scene: Cassandra Burke Robertson, the John Deaver Drinko-Baker Hostetler Professor of Law and director of the Center for Professional Ethics, said a judge being disqualified from a single case and being sued by former employees are common occurrences. But in a recent case in Cleveland, she added, the allegations raised seem to relate to a local judge’s administrative functions at the court. “I therefore have to agree that under the circumstances, stepping aside from the administrative position would help maintain the public’s trust in the judiciary,” she said.
