Case Western Reserve University graduate students, faculty, staff and postdocs are invited to upcoming mentoring and teaching workshops led by the graduate student Diekhoff Award committee and faculty winners and nominees.
These sessions will give attendees an opportunity to learn skills, gain resources and participate in discussions about excellence in graduate mentoring and teaching.
The topics for the breakout sessions will be generated by the attendees through an evidence-based community-building activity.
Two workshops will be offered with the same topics and goals. However, because some of the participants will be different at the events, the discussions might be different. Individuals can participate in one or both of the sessions. Lunch will be provided at both sessions.
The first workshop will be held Tuesday, Oct. 10, in Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballroom A. Lunch and networking will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by the workshop from 1 to 2:15 p.m. Register for the Oct. 10 session.
The second session will be Wednesday, Oct. 11, in Nord Hall, Room 356. Lunch and networking will begin at 12:15 p.m., followed by the workshop from 12:45 to 2 p.m. Register to attend the Oct. 11 session.
The John S. Diekhoff Awards Committee will sponsor these events.
