The Case Western Reserve University chapter of Autism Speaks U will recognize World Autism Awareness Day April 2 with a reception at 6 p.m. The reception will take place in the Peter B. Lewis building, which will be lit up in blue in honor of the day.
All are invited to enjoy pastries provided by Panera Bread, watch a documentary about autism in the CWRU community, and participate in a panel discussion led by David Katz, professor of neurosciences and autism researcher; Lynn Singer, deputy provost and vice president of academic affairs; Lisa Meeks, assistant director of disability resources; and Kaitlin Hart, a representative from Autism Speaks.
The event is free and open to the public. Students in MATH121 and ANTH215 may receive extra credit for attending.
