The Beamer-Schneider ethics programs are accepting applications for the 2013-14 Ethics Table Fellows. The 2013-14 Ethics Table Fellows will be a group of six to eight committed faculty or staff members or advanced students who wish to pursue an ethics project during the 2013-14 academic year. Projects must have some bearing on the programs or curriculum of Case Western Reserve University, helping to foster ethical learning.
As a part of this program, Ethics Table Fellows receive personalized learning, a tightly knit collegial group also researching and developing ethics, time and space to pursue an agenda in ethics, and feedback from the community at year’s end. Fellows receive material benefits, including books, a banquet in May and funding for work and scholarly materials.
The duties of being an Ethics Table Fellow include attending a two-day workshop in May, a five-day intensive session Aug. 19-23 and a monthly 4-hour workshop/working dinner, as well as completing and presenting a hybrid scholarly/pedagogical or scholarly/practical project by the May workshop.
More detailed information on the program can be found online. Those interested in finding out more about being an Ethics Table Fellow should email bendik-keymer@case.edu for further information on how to apply.
The application period begins now and will continue until May 24. Successful applicants will be notified by May 30.
