Kranzusch Professor, said that three seconds is all the time it takes for someone to clone a person’s voice using artificial intelligence—a voice that can then be made to say anything, in any language and with any number of emotions. “There is both good and bad, I think it’s how you use it,” he said. “It’s a technology so it’s how we set up regulations that is going to dictate so that the bad is limited.”
