Case Western Reserve professor discusses how to talk to kids about school shootings
WKYC: Stephen Sroka, adjunct professor at the School of Medicine, offered tips for parents talking to children about difficult situations, including school shootings. “Teach them that if they see something, say something,” Sroka said. “If they see someone getting bullied, someone getting hurt, or someone coming into the school who shouldn’t be there, they should say something, because what you’re doing is empowering them with some control over a situation.”
