UNICEF CWRU gala

The UNICEF chapter at Case Western Reserve University will host its inaugural gala Sunday, March 26, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Thwing Center ballroom.

All undergraduate students are invited to this night of multiculturalism in support of “Books to Succeed,” a children’s library in South Sudan founded by Jubé John, vice-fundraising chair of UNICEF CWRU. The library has more than 1,300 books, allowing students in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, opportunities to build their curiosity and knowledge. All funds raised during this event will be contributed to the library.

During the gala, there will be performances by several local student bands and organizations, including Dhamakapella and Case Kismat. A raffle contest will be held throughout the program and catering will be offered featuring cuisine from around the world. The dress code is semi-formal. Students are encouraged to come dressed in outfits from their culture to celebrate the theme of diversity.

Tickets cost $5 and are available for purchase through CampusGroups.
