The LGBT Center will host a “Trans Allyship 101,” a workshop to go in-depth on the topics of transgender identity and allyship. Members of the Case Western Reserve University community can attend this workshop Tuesday, Feb. 21, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center Gaming Room (204).
Specifically, this presentation will cover
- The differences between sex, gender and sexuality;
- An in-depth discussion of what it means to be transgender;
- An overview of the issues faced by transgender people; and
- Practical ways to be a trans-inclusive ally.
