Through Case Western Reserve orientation events, new students learn more about the resources, programs and activities available to them, as well as discover the rich traditions and diverse opportunities offered. In addition to the regularly scheduled orientation events, this year the campus community can provide additional programming for first-year students. By applying to host an event, offices, organizations or departments have the opportunity to reach out to new students, while allowing them to explore the richness and diversity of Case Western Reserve University.
Representatives from offices, organizations, and/or departments interested in participating must complete the online application by Wednesday, April 3. All of the selected submissions will be offered in a conference-style format Aug. 22-25. Offices, departments and organizations are encouraged to work with others around campus to present on similar topics or ideas. If you need assistance with collaboration, email orientation@case.edu.
To ensure diversity in programs and that the New Student Orientation mission is being taken into account, selections will be made based on this rubric. All selected proposals will be assigned to work with a member of the Office of First-Year Experience and Family Programs to facilitate the coordination of all selected programs.
