Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to an interactive dialogue exploring the diversities that make our communities so rich. Joe Brewer and Penny Heiple from the Bioregional Activators Network at the Barichara River Watershed in Colombia will present “Regenerating Bioregions: CoDesigning Our Future Together” Thursday, Feb. 9, at 3:30 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballrooms B and C.
Brewer and Heiple are in the midst of a two-week journey through the largest freshwater basin on the planet: the Great Lakes.
Through a regenerative lens of bioregionalism, thought leaders in environmental sustainability will guide guests through conversations on how we can steward our natural resources for generations to come.
The following local environmental thought leaders will participate:
- Peter Whitehouse (moderator), professor of neurology, founder of the Intergenerational Schools, and a physician and ethicist;
- David Beach, writer and environmental activist;
- David Orr, the Paul Sears Distinguished Professor of Environmental Studies and Politics Emeritus at Oberlin College.
