The Case Western Reserve University Film Society’s 48th annual Sci-Fi Marathon will be held Jan. 20–22, with 36 hours of sci-fi movies shown in Strosacker Auditorium. The first showing, Lightyear (2022), will begin Friday, Jan. 20, at 8 p.m.
This year’s marathon will feature 13 movies and two surprises, with some movies projected on 35mm or 70 mm film print, as well as live piano accompaniment to the silent film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. In addition to the regular schedule, vintage cartoons will be shown.

Tickets
Marathon passes for access to all films are available for $25 for Case Western Reserve community members and $30 for the general public.
Single-movie passes also are available for $4 each.
Pre-order tickets through CampusGroups. The CWRU Film Society will table in Tinkham Veale University Center Jan. 17–18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and in Nord Hall Jan. 19–20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Passes and tickets will be available for sale at the door.
A valid form of ID will be required when picking up wristbands at the start of the event.
