Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to attend a panel discussion on “Community Health and Liberation” Saturday, Oct. 29, at 3 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom.
Part of the Social Justice Institute Think Tank, this panel discussion will feature three dynamic experts:
- Shemariah Arki, assistant professor in Africana studies and director of the Center of Pan-African Culture at Kent State University and founder and program director of the Ellipsis Institute for Women of Color in the Academy: “Black Womxn on the Front Lines for Liberation”
- Habeebah R. Grimes, CEO of Positive Education Program (PEP) Cleveland
- Derrick Holifield from the Kenneth Clement Boys Leadership Academy in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.
Accompanying this panel discussion is live music by ANUvybe and immediately after, a closing meditative presentation by Denise Sumbry of Positive Life Haven.
