It’ll be an October to remember for Clevelanders as the Guardians baseball team competes in the Major League Baseball playoffs after clinching the American League Central. The team’s postseason schedule begins Friday, Oct. 7, with a best-of-three series. But even if sports aren’t your thing, there will be plenty to do this month in Northeast Ohio. Battle of the Land finale

Want to hear some of the best musicians in Cleveland? Check out the Battle of the Land finale Saturday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m. in the Tower City Center downtown.
From a pool of hundreds, 16 musicians and bands competed last weekend in the semifinals to advance to this weekend’s competition. Attend this free event, hosted by iHeartMedia, to find out who will be crowned the best in The Land.

Get lost—and find your way—in a corn maze at one of the many local farms near Cleveland.
Just a short drive from campus, you can check out Patterson Fruit Farm (where you can also pick apples and grab other treats) in Chesterland for a true fall experience. Or, you can venture to Lake Metroparks Farmpark in Kirtland during Corn and Pumpkin Weekends.
Up for a longer drive? Other Northeast Ohio farms include Mapleside Farms in Brunswick, Red Wagon Farm in Columbia Station and Szalay’s Farm in Peninsula.
