Each year, the National Science Foundation (NSF) recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students with Graduate Research Fellowships (GRFP). Students interested in applying this year should join the School of Graduate Studies for a panel discussion webinar Tuesday, Sept. 27, from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. Current GRFP fellows at Case Western Reserve University will discuss their experiences in applying for the grant, who they talked to, what they learned through the process and more. Faculty members also will discuss what reviewers are looking for in grant applications.
Students also can attend several additional webinars in the coming weeks sponsored by NSF. For more details, self-enroll in the NSF GRFP Canvas site and review the content including GRFP purpose, key elements, eligibility, application timeline and components, deadlines, resources, and events. Registration links to all the webinars and Canvas can be found in CampusGroups.
Students pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees in chemistry, computer and information, engineering, geosciences, life sciences, materials research, mathematical sciences, physics and astronomy, psychology, social sciences, and STEM education disciplines at accredited US institutions pursuing degrees are eligible to apply for the GRFP.
