Post-Graduate Planning and Experiential Education invites faculty and staff to participate in the fifth annual Mock Multiple-Mini Interview (MMI) Day for pre-med and pre-health students on Thursday, Sept. 8.
The MMI is a unique interview format, sometimes referred to as a “speed-dating” interview, which requires students to rotate among several stations where they respond to a different prompt for 5–10 minutes. This style places heavy emphasis on evaluating candidates’ interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ethical or moral judgment. The MMI format has become increasingly popular with professional healthcare programs over the past several years.
The success of this annual event is dependent on faculty and staff volunteer participation. Post-Graduate Planning and Experiential Education is in need of volunteers who can interview students during a one-hour time block on Thursday, Sept. 8 between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
An interviewer will see five students during the one-hour block and ask questions from predetermined prompts. Interviewers will be given their prompts, suggested follow-up questions, and evaluation sheets prior to the session.
