Active Bystander Workshop

This violence prevention workshop is a skill-building opportunity from the Mather Center’s It’s On CWRU campaign to end power-based personal violence (including, but not limited to, sexual assault, stalking, personal violence) on our campus and beyond. At this event on Wednesday, Aug. 3, at noon, organizers will go over the 5Ds of Bystander Intervention and practice how to intervene in situations.

Their goal is to provide you with the tools and strategies to step in, step up, and help stop power-based personal violence in our community.

Content Warning: This workshop focuses on building skills to intervene in situations that disrupt the culture of safety on campus. Topics discussed in this workshop include harassment, stalking, sexual harassment and/or abuse, racism, sexim, and other impacts of violence against various social identities. We do review resources and support for anyone impacted by these topics, and we encourage you to be aware of your needs and space when attending this workshop.
