Medicine’s Michael Lederman pens op-ed piece on COVID-19 vaccines

Michael Lederman, the Scott R Inkley Professor of Medicine, wrote an opinion piece about why he believes the  COVID-19 immunization is important to protect against serious disease and hospitalization and death, but that it’s not likely that an immunization strategy in the United States will get us out of this pandemic.

“The failure to provide immunization to most of the developing world indicates that more variants will develop with time and we will run out of Greek letters before we run out of variants,” he wrote in “COVID, quo vadis?”Lederman’s piece was published by cleveland.com.
