Class-action lawsuit filed against Akron Children’s Hospital over vaccine mandate firings
WEWS: Sharona Hoffman, the Edgar A. Hahn Professor of Law and co-director of the Law-Medicine Center, discussed a federal lawsuit against Akron Children’s Hospital filed by 66 workers who were fired after refusing to comply with the hospital’s vaccine mandate. “Employers are allowed to have requirements, and healthcare providers traditionally have required flu vaccines, TB tests, all sorts of things,” she said.
