Get an inside look at Cuyahoga County’s election process during Friday event

The conduct of elections in Ohio often is viewed as controversial, and Cuyahoga County, in particular, receives a great deal of attention.

Steve Izen, professor of mathematics, and Ken Ledford, associate professor of history and law, both had firsthand experiences with the election process here in Cuyahoga County during the 2012 election. At the next Public Affairs Discussion Group, “Casting and Counting Votes in Cuyahoga County,” the faculty members will talk about how the election actually was administered in Cuyahoga County and address implications for the fairness and accuracy of elections in the future.

The discussion will take place Friday, Feb. 8, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Dampeer Room of the Kelvin Smith Library.

Since 1989, faculty, emeriti, students and staff have gathered on Fridays for a brown-bag lunch and to discuss topics in public affairs.
